Reflections
Thoughts from Goldie Gotesman, LCSW, on the everyday side of mental health.
Reflections is a quiet corner of Goldie's practice. Here she writes about the things adults bring to therapy: a mind that has thirty tabs open, worry that keeps going after the lights are off, conversations that take a lot out of you, thoughts that loop, and weeks that feel like too much.
Each piece is written in plain language. Some explain what is going on behind a feeling or a habit. Some share small, practical ideas you can try in your own day. All of them start from the same belief: people feel different ways on different days, and that is part of being human. When it is day after day, help is there.
Goldie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering online therapy for adults in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Her work draws on CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness and executive-function strategies, and Reflections follows the same spirit: warm, practical and judgment-free. New pieces are added over time, so check back, or start with the topic closest to what you are carrying right now.
These pieces are general information, not therapy or medical advice, and reading them does not start a therapy relationship. If something here sounds familiar and you would like to talk it through, a free 15-minute consultation is a good first step.
